Kelly Morgan, CFP®
Chief Executive Officer, Certified Financial Planner™
Kelly grew up in Atlanta and spent time in Birmingham visiting her grandparents her entire life. After moving to Birmingham in 2012, she became a client of GrandView Financial and then was hired as Chief Operating Officer in 2015. She and GrandView’s founder, Bob Straka, put a plan in place for Kelly to succeed Bob and purchase the business at his retirement giving GrandView’s clients stability and continuity.
Beginning in 2024, Kelly will serve on the board of the Megan Montgomery Foundation and supports Two by Two Rescue.
GrandView strives to empower clients to take control of their financial life and use money as a tool to reach their goals. Empowerment was something Kelly learned early on from her mother and grandmother who taught her and her sister the importance of being in control of your own finances, and as a result, your own destiny.
Prior to GrandView, Kelly’s diverse background in non-profits, business management, sales and marketing, client services and hospitality has contributed to her career in financial services. Kelly has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Auburn University (Class of 1998). She holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ in March of 2021.
Kelly is married to Bailey Morgan and they have two rescue dogs – Ollie and Willie. When she is not working, you can find Kelly spending time with friends and family (dogs included), doing projects around the house and weekends at her family’s lake house on Lake Wedowee.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification marks CFP®, and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization’s initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification marks.
